Colour Trend: Red to Toe

Here at VVA, we are all about the working woman, and in our opinion no other colour says “I mean business” than gorgeous red shades. The fiery shade dominated the autumn/winter 2017 shows, with brands such as Givenchy, Preen and Max Mara sending head-to-toe burgundy, wine and cerise looks down the runway.

Wearing red, even if it is just a bright red lip, can be a huge confidence booster. The words powerful, punchy and empowering spring to mind. But how do you incorporate these fiery shades into your working wardrobe?

To help you through next season, we have pulled together our top looks featuring next seasons favourite colour trend.

Inspiration from the Catwalk:

Look 1

One of our go-to office looks is the flared trouser, shirt and heels. Rather than the typical black trouser, opt for a red statement pair, styled with a crisp white shirt or blouse and black heels. Our handbag of choice for this look is our gorgeous red Dahlia handbag, designed with busy working woman in mind, and can be mixed up with a handbag strap to suit your personality.

Look 2

Our second look is slightly more relaxed, focusing the red on the top half paired with grey trousers and would look great with either heels or flats. This look can be styled with our red Dahlia handbag, simply popping off the front clutch for after dinner drinks, or swap the front clutch for our black and white spot clutch to add a fun element to this look.

Look 3

Our final look will be perfect as it gets into those colder months. Even if you choose not to wear red at work, you can still incorporate this colour trend through your outerwear and handbag choice. If a red handbag is not for you, then how about our gorgeous off white leather Dahlia that can be styled with a red clutch, tassel or pom pom for whenever you feel like adding this fiery shade into your day.

Hopefully these looks will inspire those of you who want to add some brightness into your autumn wardrobe.

Until next time,
